We are a group of volunteers committed to improving our community through protecting our environment. Friends of Linn County was formed in the 1970s to fight the loss of productive farm and forest lands to development. We do so by making sure that proposed zoning changes and conditional use permit requests are compliant with Oregon’s Statewide Planning Goals and the Linn County Comprehensive Plan. We also monitor activities of the Oregon State Legislature that may affect land use.
We are an independent non-profit organization [501(c)3]. We are affiliated with 1000 Friends of Oregon, and work closely with them on matters pertaining to land use in Linn County.
